Meet Gus

Gus has a long academic background in engineering and science, from building octopus robots during his Harvard University PhD to the use of bioengineering to reduce concussions in sports during his Postdoctoral Fellowship at Stanford University. His works have been featured in National Geographic, The New York Times, the Syfy Network, and more. He has been a hands-on builder for a long time, always hunting for and tinkering with the newest technologies even before he officially wore the investor’s hat.

While his background is obviously impressive, Gus's performance since joining Boost VC is what truly sets him apart. Gus joined us to take on sourcing but he took that task to a whole new level. Over the past year alone, he sourced 50% of the deals we made investments in and became a true leader amongst all Deep Tech VCs. It is extremely rare to meet a Deep Tech investor who has not interacted with Gus and if you are a new Deep Tech founder, you are most certainly going to cross paths soon!
