Welcome, Derek, to Boost VC!

🎉 We just hired Derek Brown at Boost VC and could not be more excited!

As we scaled into $200m in assets under management and 200+ active investments across the 10+ years of building Boost, the complexity started to add up. We needed someone to come in and takeover the fund operations and find new ways to supercharge Boost as we continue to scale and fund the next 1,000 Deep Tech founders!

Derek has the perfection combination of half product manager and half fund accountant.

Derek most recently was the first employee at Sydecar - building a software product that fully automates the complex process of investing into startups.

Before that he helped build the fund admin team at Carta and knows the ins and outs of Venture Capital, personally servicing funds with over $1B in assets.

And to top it off, he is obsessed with Bitcoin as much as we are!

The Boost VC team, portfolio founders and LPs are all in better hands knowing Derek is here to create process from the chaos that is pre-seed Deep Tech investing 🚀
