Today we are thrilled to announce the promotion of Maddie Callander to Partner at Boost VC!

To those who know Maddie this will not come as a surprise, because she’s amazing!

At Boost VC, our mission is to accelerate the Sci-Fi future by investing and supporting deep tech founders. If you ask the last 200 founders we backed they would tell you the platform Maddie has built at Boost VC may be just as valuable as the money they received. Most of you probably know Boost VC because of Maddie in some shape or form!

Maddie manages Boost VC’s Platform aka the firm’s “post-investment” team. She worked directly with the firm’s 370+ deep tech founders, led strategy for our accelerator and platform initiatives, and supported the brand and operations as the firm has grown from $6M when she joined to $200M AUM today.

Maddie is a key reason our founders referrals are our main source of new investments. Maddie strives to build the best customer experience for our founders via our “post-investment” programs which focus on accountability, sales strategy, growth, and building a strong interconnected network of startup founder peers.

Maddie joined us 8 years ago as an Executive Assistant and quickly became obsessed with helping founders and improving our accelerator program. Since 2018 she has been leading our platform and portfolio initiatives including running founder “post-investment” programs for hundreds of companies and many Deep Tech Demo Days for thousands of investors. When we were forced to go remote in 2020, Maddie is the one who quickly pivoted our “in person” programs to online and built a digital event platform in 4 weeks to keep our valuable Demo Day alive for our founders!

Maddie’s curiosity, desire to learn and growth mindset make her uniquely qualified to work with our deep tech startups. Her curiosity about Bitcoin in the early days is what led her to join us when we were a dedicated bitcoin accelerator in 2015. Over the years Maddie challenged herself to grow via the VC Platform Community, helping build The Council Angels, and was invited to join Kauffman Fellows where she leveled up her understanding of Venture Capital as a global asset class.

On top of all of this, we love working with Maddie. She brings a focus and enthusiasm to our team. She is a constant champion of female founders in deep tech, and truly believes in our Boost VC mission. 8 years into working with Maddie, I’m fortunate we found someone who thinks outside the box and wants to continue on this journey with us to champion human endeavor, give people a shot and build long term trust by investing in and supporting the best deep tech founders around the world.

Maddie is the best VC platform operator on the planet having supported and built products for founders for over 400 founders over her 8 years. We want to 10x the number of founders we support and we are excited to build a team around Maddie with her at the helm.
